For more than 40 years, I have dedicated myself to creating wood art, transforming a lifelong pursuit of design, artistry, and excellence. From my artisan studio nestled on Paris Mountain in Greenville, South Carolina, I create heirloom quality wood art and luxury homewares using locally reclaimed and sustainably sourced woods.

My work reflects a deep respect for the natural grain of wood, I am especially drawn to local hardwoods, rare and highly figured burls—maple burl, camphor burl, cottonwood burl, redwood burl, brown Mallee burl, red Mallee burl, and other extraordinary species whose intricate patterns ensure that no two pieces are ever alike. On the lathe, I shape unique bowls, hollow forms, spindle turning hybrid burl and resin handles for functional homeware pieces. I also create one of a kind cutting boards, charcuterie boards and vintage hand mirrors, etc. I work with clients on designing custom pieces to ensure each piece resonates with their vision and setting.

I am most proud of the legacy my work creates a blend of artistic identity, design and uniqueness and the ability to turn raw wood into something that endures time. With pride, and decades of work, I’ve developed a style that is unmistakably my own.

Creating wood art is a form of therapy, I spend hours and hours in my shop lost in thought as I carefully work shaping each piece. The finished pieces are not just an object to me, but a reflection of me and my craft. I believe handmade wood art is cherished for its unique craftsmanship and the personal connection to the artist.
