My oil paintings celebrate nature’s ever-changing beauty, reflecting a practice of plein air painting and studio work, each enhancing the other.
Outdoors, I engage directly with the landscape capturing the seasonal moods with immediacy and energy.
In my studio, I refine these experiences, blending observations with memory and emotion to create works of depth.
As a professional photographer for 15 years, I developed a strong sense of light and color, which guides both my outdoor and indoor processes.
The studio allows me to distill the raw energy of nature, experimenting with design and values and color harmony to reflect its dynamic rhythms.
Raised in an artistic family, I have benefited from the guidance of painters Anne Blair Brown, Sarah Sedwick, David Shevlino, Natalia Nosykartis, and, since 2020, the mentorship of Jim Carson, OPA, AIS.
