Unveiling of a Please Play Me Piano, painted by Dumah Morgan
On Aug. 14, Judson Mill will unveil Weaver the Piano, a public piano made possible by local nonprofit Please Play Me Pianos and artist Dumah Morgan
The event will be inside Magnetic South Brewery with a short presentation followed by live music from Marvin King Revue and special guest Aaron Bowen on the Please Play Me Piano.
“Weaver the Piano is a celebration of connection, creativity and community,” Dumah said in a released statement. “Public art has the power to bring people together, and I’m thrilled to partner with Judson Mill District and Please Play Me Pianos to make music more accessible and interactive in Greenville.” Magnetic South Brewery beer will be available for purchase during the event along with pizza from neighboring eatery Mill City Kitchen. Judson Mill is located at 701 Easley Bridge Road in the Judson community west of downtown Greenville.
