Art has been a constant presence in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Brazil, I was always surrounded by paints, brushes, and colored pencils. Whether working on canvas, glass, wood, or experimenting with watercolors, creating art felt natural, like a quiet language I could always turn to.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, with a major in Marketing and Advertising, and a technical degree in Interior Design. This combination of artistic and design education continues to shape my work, blending thoughtful composition with a strong sense of visual storytelling.

When I moved to the United States, life shifted quickly. Adapting to a new culture, building a home, and starting from scratch in a new country left little room for creativity. My art supplies followed me from one home to another, quietly waiting for the right moment to come out.

It took some time and patience, but eventually, that creative spark made its way back. I launched The Sleepy Cat Craft Room as a way to reconnect with that part of myself, to build something rooted in joy, imagination, and heart.

My artwork is created digitally, but with traditional techniques in mind. I use my iPad and stylus the same way I’d use a brush or pencil, applying layers of texture, color, and detail with care. My pieces often reflect themes of nature, emotions, memories and imagination. I’m mostly drawn to soft palettes, gentle lines, and the quiet beauty in everyday moments.

I create for people like me: daydreamers, stargazers, nature lovers, and story collectors. Those who slow down and notice the wind in the trees or the colors of the sky. My hope is that each piece carries a sense of calm, wonder, and connection, and that it resonates with those who see beauty in the small things.
