Katie's signature designs combine the opulence of faceted stones and precious metals with provocative surfaces and textures that mimic the spontaneity found in natural growth and oxidation processes. Her pieces reinterpret those objects that are observed but are not lasting, often reminding the wearer of places and times in their own personal experience and travels.
Directions
From downtown, heading west on Buncombe Street, continue onto Pete Hollis Blvd. Take a right onto Old Buncombe Road. Turn left on Sulphur Springs Road. On Sulphur Springs, you will come to a stop light intersecting the Swamp Rabbit Trail and will see an old rail car to the left. Turn onto the road directly in front of this train, to the left, onto Pinsley Circle. Continue until you arrive at the second gate entrance on the right, and cross over the swamp rabbit trail. Studio is on left.
