ROGER W. BRUCKNER
I’ve enjoyed encaustics the last few years and enjoy experimenting with an array of different results. As a water colorist, I find encaustics give similar results with the same amount of unpredictability. There’s always something new each time I start painting and it’s refreshing. Though I still do assemblages and collage, I find more time to do encaustics and with unlimited subject matter. I look art work done in oils, water colors, and pastels, and imagine getting similar results in bees wax. It’s fun, and that’s what art should be.
Take Wade Hampton Blvd (Hwy 29) from downtown for about 3 miles. The Gallery Centre complex is on the right, studio is in the Alpine Frame & Collectibles space.
