SUMMARY:Spring Orchestra Concert: Peace Center with Greenville County Youth Orchestras
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a concert that features the talented students of Greenville County Youth Orchestras (GCYO) led by conductors Neil Casey\, Elizabeth Conrad\, Patrick Murch\, Charis Burger\, and Kathy Robinson. The ensembles include Prelude\, Intermezzo\, Philharmonic\, and The Young Artist Orchestra. They will perform advanced orchestral music. \nGreenville County Youth Orchestras\, celebrating more than 50 years of music making\, is an educational program for students in Greenville who play an orchestral instrument. Find out more information at gcyo.net. Auditions are held every spring in May. GCYO rehearses weekly at the Fine Arts Center and at League Academy. \nGreenville County Youth Orchestras Association is a local arts non profit organization that receives support from the Greenville County School District\, Metropolitan Arts Council\, the South Carolina Arts Commission\, and private donations from friends of the organization. SUMMARY:Carolina Youth Symphony Winter Concerto Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Peace Center Concert Hall on Sunday\, March 8\, 2026 at 5pm for the Carolina Youth Symphony Winter Concert. Conducted by Dr. Charles Baldwin\, Mr. James Kilgus\, and Dr. Ginger Rich\, the concert will feature winners of the CYS / Bernhardt House of Violins Concerto Competition\, as well as members of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra playing side-by-side with the Symphony Orchestra. \nTickets are $15/$16.50* for adults and $10/$11* for students/seniors and may be purchased through the Peace Center box office. (*Note – the Peace Center applies a 10% fee for online and phone orders. Tickets purchased in person at the box office do not incur this fee.) CD\, DVD\, and/or Blu-ray orders may be placed by scanning the QR code located in the concert program. \nThis concert is sponsored by Bernhardt House of Violins and the Robert B. and Ruth K. Lee Foundation\, and is funded in part by the SC Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
