SUMMARY:Portraits! God's Amazing Variety in Pastel and Paint
DESCRIPTION:The Simpsonville Arts Center will be showcasing the work of Diane Fleischer\, a pastel\, oil\, and acrylic painter (https://www.dfleischer-art.com). Diane’s art focuses on portraiture inspired by the beauty of our world and the unending creativity of God. This show will also contain some of her landscapes and animal portraits in both acrylic and oils. \nDiane graduated with a fine arts degree from Asbury University and moved to Simpsonville in 2017 after retiring from a career in graphic design. \nThere will be an artist’s reception for this show on April 10 from 7-9 pm. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.

SUMMARY:Painting\, once again
DESCRIPTION:Again\, It Is Painting is the artist’s first solo exhibition.\nHaving devoted her early life to studying and practicing fine art\, the artist’s life revolved entirely around painting. This path was interrupted by marriage and immigration\, which brought isolation and disconnection from familiar communities\, leaving language and belonging difficult to navigate.\nPainting became a space to reconnect with the world. For someone whose words often falter\, the canvas became a language of its own—figures\, animals\, and scenes speaking where words could not.\nThis exhibition marks a personal return to painting\, an act of re-engaging with the world through the medium itself.
