DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR ARTISTS \nBe part of history at Art in the Park — our first bi-annual celebration at PKL Park\, spotlighting the incredible legacy of Greenville’s Southernside Community. We’re looking for local artists to showcase their work (commission-based). Limited spots available — tents welcome! \nFriday\, August 15th | 6–9pm (Set-up at 5pm) \nFeaturing jazz + blues performances honoring the musical roots of Mark V Studios \nSpecial guest: Community activist Mary Duckett \nThis event will honor the muralists whose art lines the PKL Park border with Mayberry Park\, telling the powerful story of transformation — from Mark V Recording Studio to the Greenville Black Spinners legacy and Mary Duckett’s impact. Come create\, connect\, and contribute to the rich history still unfolding in the Southernside Community. \nArtists interested in participating please send an email to events@pklparkgvl.com and include a link to your website and Instagram profile. Submission deadline is August 8th.
