DESCRIPTION:Body in Color \nAn Exhibition by Caroline Gates\, Jess Stone\, and Sara Touchet \nRiver Rock Art Studios and Gallery \n1001 Old Easley Highway • Greenville\, SC 29611 \nOpening Night: June 21st\, 6–9 PM \nThe human body has long been a canvas for emotion\, identity\, and story—and in Body in Color\, three artists merge their visions to celebrate its expressive power in bold\, vibrant hues. \nThis collaborative exhibit began with live models\, each one a muse for painter Caroline Gates\, who covered their forms with richly textured brush strokes. Sara Touchet\, a photographer known for capturing soulful\, transformative moments\, brought her lens to the same models\, revealing intimate visual narratives in light and shadow. Then\, Jess Stone\, an encaustic painter\, took Sara’s photographic prints and layered them with molten wax and pigment\, transforming them into tactile works of art. The circle closes with Caroline’s return to the canvas—this time painting new pieces inspired by the photographs\, completing a creative loop. \nEach artist brings their own relationship with the body—raw\, reverent\, empowered. Together\, they offer a fresh and layered interpretation of the human form: fluid\, colorful\, and alive. \nBody in Color is a visual dialogue between mediums\, artists\, and muses. It invites you to witness the body not just as subject\, but as story\, memory\, and metaphor—wrapped in color\, movement\, and meaning. \nJoin us at River Rock Art Studios and Gallery on June 21st from 6 to 9 PM for an evening of art\, community\, and celebration of the body in all its expressive glory.
