SUMMARY:Drawn to Dusk: Lauren Leslie Solo Exhibition | Artist Talk
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this intimate\, immersive artist talk with one of the South’s most talented emerging artists\, Lauren Leslie! Free refreshments provided. \nDRAWN TO DUSK at Good Art Co. presents detailed\, fascinating and surreal new graphite and charcoal drawings by Atlanta-based artist Lauren Lesley. This solo exhibition provides a quiet space of reflection and comfort\, featuring intimate\, carefully rendered images of childhood objects and collected keepsakes that explore how memories become emotional anchors in times of uncertainty. \nThe title DRAWN TO DUSK represents moments of transition\, like coming of age\, relocation\, grief\, and the unspoken tension of an increasingly fragile world in social\, environmental\, and emotional flux. During these moments\, nostalgia becomes both a gentle escape and a way to cope\, reconnect\, and safeguard the parts of ourselves we fear losing. Step close to experience the subtle textures and details where each pencil stroke honors what time changes\, preserves the trace of a moment\, and creates space for both memory and growth. \nSave the dates!: \nFirst Friday Official Opening Reception | Friday August 1st from 6pm-8:30pm \nArtist Talk and Reception | Thursday August 21st from 6:30pm-8:30pm \nLast Day to See The Show | Saturday September 13th\, 10am-6pm

SUMMARY:Workshop: Painting Dynamic Landscapes in Oil
DESCRIPTION:4-Session Workshop: “Painting Dynamic Landscapes in Oil”| From 6pm-9pm on August 11th\, 13th\, 18th\, and 20th | Taught by acclaimed artist Monica Iversen at Good Art Co. | $250 per person \nDon’t miss your chance for a rare hands-on learning experience with an award-winning artist\, Monica Iversen! Over the course of four sessions\, you’ll learn Monica’s unique process\, acquire new techniques and skills to paint realistic and enchanting landscapes\, create new work of your own to take home or add to your portfolio\, and mix and mingle with a small group of other creative folks sure to become friends. \nAll supplies will be provided. All skill levels welcome! Arrival and departure times are flexible\, but we encourage you to make the most out of your sessions. Parking is available on-site. \nAbout the teaching artist: \nMonica Iversen’s artistic journey began in the surroundings of her father’s NY studio\, where she first learned the techniques of classic realism. Inspired by the works of the Dutch Masters\, Monica’s oil paintings are vibrant expressions of color and intricate storytelling. Her work evokes a sense of nostalgia\, intertwined with complex narratives. Admirers often liken her work to a collaboration between Norman Rockwell and Salvador Dali\, where the familiar meets the surreal. Her art can be seen in museums and at prestigious exhibits across the North and Southeastern United States. \nAbout Iversen’s current show at Good Art Co.: \n“Reflections: a Solo Exhibition of new work by Monica Iversen” at Good Art Co. invites people of all ages to explore memories\, rekindle childlike joy\, and smile their way through timeless stories brought to life through hyper-realistic paintings. Iversen invites viewers into a world where memory\, emotion\, and storytelling converge through the lens of childhood. Featuring a collection of oil paintings that spotlight vintage toys and children—primarily from the 1960s and earlier—this exhibition draws on the universal language of nostalgia to spark both joy and introspection.

SUMMARY:Reflections: a Monica Iversen Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Rekindle childlike joy. Discover timeless stories in whimsical scenes. Slow down\, look closer\, and smile. \nThis is what awaits you in “Reflections\,” a new immersive solo exhibition of work by Monica Iversen. In “Reflections\,” Iversen invites viewers into a world where memory\, emotion\, and storytelling converge through the lens of childhood. Featuring a collection of oil paintings that spotlight vintage toys and children—primarily from the 1960s and earlier\, with many one-of-a-kind props on view as well—this exhibition draws on the universal language of nostalgia to spark both joy and introspection. \nEach work tells a rich and layered story\, capturing fleeting moments and small wonders that often go unnoticed in our hurried lives. Through richly layered narratives\, the paintings encourage viewers to slow down and reconnect with the simple\, meaningful details of life. \n“In a fast-paced world\, we don’t slow down long enough to appreciate the little things\,” the artist says. “I hope my work will cause people to hit the pause button in their life.” \n“Reflections” is a gentle reminder of the beauty in the everyday\, the charm of the past\, and the emotional resonance found in seemingly ordinary moments. \nINFO ON EXHIBITION + EVENTS: \n**Official Opening and First Friday Art Party: Friday July 11th\, 6pm—9pm** \n**Artist Talk and Reception: Tuesday July 15th\, 6pm—8pm** \n**August First Friday Art Party: August 1st\, 6pm—9pm** \n**4-Day Workshop with the Artist: “Painting Dynamic Landscapes in Oil” | August 11th\, 13th\, 18th\, and 20th\, from 6pm—9pm** \nLearn more about the show and workshops: www.getgoodart.co \nLearn more about Monica Iversen’s work: www.iversenfineart.com
