SUMMARY:Introduction to Oil Painting: Limited Palette
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Oil Painting: Working with the Zorn Palette \nDiscover the foundations of oil painting through the beauty and discipline of a limited color palette. This four-week course is designed for beginners and focuses on developing strong color mixing and painting skills using just a few carefully selected pigments\, made famous by the Swedish painter Anders Zorn. \nIn the first week\, students will learn to mix and organize colors by creating their own color wheel—building a deeper understanding of relationships between hues\, values\, and chroma. Over the following three weeks\, students will apply these principles to a simple still life painting\, exploring composition\, light\, and form while practicing brushwork and layering techniques. \nBy the end of the course\, students will have a solid grasp of color mixing\, painting preparation\, and oil painting fundamentals\, along with a still life that demonstrates their growing skill and confidence. \nNo prior experience required. All materials list provided upon request.
