SUMMARY:FLAT OUT UNDER PRESSURE
DESCRIPTION:Flat Out Under Pressure (FOUP) is a 24-hour juried art-making competition where the selected winners are given the opportunity to show their work for reproduction on the eight downtown recycling bins. The winning artists also received cash prizes\, and the first-place artist wins a week-long trip for two to Cortona\, Italy to stay in the beautiful Villa Sant’ Andrea. \nIn 2026\, the community rallied to support over 120 artists who took the challenge to create a complete work of art in just 24 hours. Eleven winning artists were announced during a packed reception in the MAC Gallery on June 20th. All works are on display at 16 Augusta Street in an exhibition dedicated to the event. Come see what artists can accomplish in record time for 2026!FOUP would not exist without the support\, commitment and fantastic organizational skills of MAC Board member and visual artist Janette W. Wesley\, who has been very involved in the project since its inception in 2009. Exhibit sponsors for this event are TD Bank and The Don and Zelma Waggoner Foundation.

SUMMARY:Hadestown: Teen Edition
DESCRIPTION:This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice\, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz\, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature\, doubt against faith\, and fear against love.

SUMMARY:Cowboy Junkies: Celebrating 40 Years & Beyond
DESCRIPTION:In 1988\, Cowboy Junkies proved that there was an audience waiting for something quiet\, beautiful and reflective. The Trinity Session was like a whisper that cut through the noise — and it was compelling. It stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s. The now classic recording combined folk\, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before and went on to sell more than a million copies.

SUMMARY:FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL (or I Love Lave Dash)
DESCRIPTION:A professional football team is torn between two potential top draft picks: charismatic multiethnic finesse machine Lave Dash and salt-of-the-earth muscle monster Mervin Gufflinson the First. Making the crazy decision to draft them both causes a media meltdown that changes the game. And all sports. And the whole world. And the entire space-time continuum. Featuring an all-female cast and an all-star collection of fake moustaches and wigs\, this world premiere is an uproarious comedy about America’s obsession with football\, the joys of masculinity\, and the consequences of having our idols do exactly what we want them to do.
