DESCRIPTION:Indirect painting teaches patience. Alla prima teaches decisiveness. \nIn this four-session course\, we explore direct painting – working wet into wet\, mixing color in real time\, and finishing a piece in a single sitting. It’s a different kind of discipline: less about correction\, more about commitment to the first true mark. \nWe’ll begin with a value and color theory primer\, then spend our first two sessions painting simple still life objects provided in studio – building the muscle of seeing a painting through to completion in one sitting\, learning when a passage is finished and when to put the brush down. \nIn the final two sessions\, you’ll bring an object of your own – something with weight\, history\, or meaning – and apply what we’ve built toward a painting that’s not just technically resolved\, but personal. \nOpen to all skill levels\, including beginners. DESCRIPTION:Price $90.00\nThis is a very popular class during a very busy time of year. If you would like to schedule a private version of this class for a small family group (4-5 people max)\, please reach out to schedule a date. \nSATURDAY\, November 14\, 2026\n10:00am – 2:00 pm \nRing in the holiday season by creating your very own handmade jingle bells! In this one day workshop\, students will learn how to cut out their bell shape from copper sheet metal\, use metal stamps to add an imposed decoration\, then use dapping punches and blocks to dome the form into a jingle bell. These handmade bells can be used as seasonal décor\, Christmas tree ornaments\, or as pendants. \nEach student will make 2-3 jingle bells. \nThis course is a perfect for beginners! Absolutely no prior experience necessary. DESCRIPTION:We are looking for someone hard working\, skilled\, and confident to lead children and adult art parties and events! These events happen mostly on weekends and week nights\, and are lead mostly in acrylic paint\, with some fun crafts thrown in! \nWe would love someone who has previous teaching experience\, whether it is art-realted or not. We are looking for someone who will grow with our team for the long run. This position is relatively flexible\, anywhere from 8-20 hours a week. We can’t wait to meet you!

SUMMARY:Figure Drawing Essentials with Jon Bolton
DESCRIPTION:A 6-session drawing course designed to inform and improve drawings of the human form. The class covers the construction of a skeleton\, proportion control\, short-hand measuring techniques\, simplifying complex forms\, value application\, and guides for handling difficult areas like hands\, knees\, feet\, etc. The course culminates in a 3-session figure drawing of a live model where students are guided in creating a fully realized drawing with as much accuracy as possible. \nClass meets 2x a week for 3 weeks. 6:00pm – 9:00pm\nClass begins February 21 \nMore information can be found @ www.jonboltonfa.com/figuredrawing
