Casandra Andrews

Casandra Andrews, a native of Greenville, S.C., is a versatile artist whose exuberant mastery of different mediums-pastel, watercolor, texture, acrylic, ink and pencil- parallels her ability to see and capture beauty in the diversity that surrounds us. Her imagination is stimulated by nature and architecture, by still life and life drawings. As quoted from local author Linda Lovely; "Andrew's dream of becoming an artist started in childhood as she watched her father create exquisitely in his pencil work. Andrew's fascination and talent lead her to study at the prestigious Art Institute of Atlanta where the international faculty helped her to nurture and expand her horizons. Andrews has focused primarily on commissioned works. Now, however, the artist's work is reaching a wider audience through gallery exhibitions and sales". In her studio, Andrews captures her subject through expression in her work enlightened with light, color and intensity. Her style strikes a pleasing balance between traditional and contemporary.
