Studio 444 is the Greenville Little
Theatre’s “studio” theatre—an alternative to our mainstage productions. It
serves as a training ground for aspiring directors and actors and should be a
theatrical laboratory for exploration of new plays in which the focus is
squarely on the actor.
Centre
Stage to hold auditions "Tomfoolery"
Centre Stage will hold auditions for
the musical, Tomfoolery on June 8 and 9 at 7 PM.
A multi-racial, multi-ethnic cast of four is needed
for this witty and offbeat review of the work of famed satirical songwriter,
Tom Lehrer.
Auditionees are encouraged to listen to recordings performed by Tom Lehrer
himself (rather than the soundtrack from the show) to get a sense of his style
and approach to the material. These are accessible online (YouTube).
Bring head shot and resume (if available) and come prepared to learn a song.
The production will be directed by Chip Egan and rehearsals will begin on July
14. Production dates are Thursday through Saturday, August 7 – 30, with
