Peace Concert Hall at the Peace Center
Since the release of his debut album, Grammy® Award winner Jonny Lang has built a reputation as one of the best live performers and guitarists of his generation. In 1997, at age 15, the blues guitarist and singer came screaming into mainstream radio with the chart-topping hit “Lie to Me.” Since then, he has toured with The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Sting.
Over the last two decades, Lang’s bluesy sound has evolved into a modern R&B style closer to Stevie Wonder and contemporary gospel music. His most recent studio album, Signs, topped Billboard’s Blues Albums chart.
Doyle Bramhall II is a rare and distinctive guitarist who plays left-handed but with his instrument strung for a right-hander and flipped backward. The son of Stevie Ray Vaughan drummer Doyle Bramhall I, the younger Bramhall played with legends Roger Waters, Vaughan and Eric Clapton. Bramhall II continued to collaborate with Clapton for more than a decade.
In addition to a solo career, Bramhall II has recorded and toured with B.B. King, Elton John, Gregg Allman, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Sheryl Crow, Arc Angels, T-Bone Burnett, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, Gary Clark, Jr., Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Billy Preston, Erykah Badu, Questlove and Meshell Ndegeocello.
