Training Opportunities

SmartARTS provides numerous opportunities for training for Title I teachers and area artists. All training sessions focus on developing a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of arts integration and teacher-artist collaboration.

The primary training offered by SmartARTS, and partially funded by Greenville County Schools, is the Greenville County Arts Integration Training Institute (GCAITI). This week-long institute trains Title I teachers and area artists in collaborating to integrate the arts with all content areas in order to deepen student learning. Learning within the SmartARTS training programs is highly experiential and incorporates reflection to make personal meaning of individual and group experiences.

The Advanced Arts Integration Workshop is included this year as part of Greenville County School’s Summer Academy and is funded entirely by Greenville County Schools.
