I paint in oil a variety of subjects, including landscapes, wildlife, and figurative form. It is not my objective to replicate exactly what I see before me, but rather, to alter the scene, in order to achieve harmony in the painting. I find painting to be a magical process, and derive much satisfaction in capturing the light and mood of the subject, through the use of values, color temperature, and edges.
