Artist Statement

The inspiration for my painting comes directly from nature. It’s simply a matter of looking for those compositions that are all around us. I’m catching the color, light and shadows in that brief moment before the shadows change. I have found that a quick photo for reference will capture that mood. To be able to share that view and have it recognized by others, gives me the greatest pleasure.

Directions

Take I-385 south to exit 29 (Georgia Rd). Turn left toward Simpsonville. Take a left onto Curtis St (Hwy 417) for 1.3 miles. Take the second entrance to "The Magnolias at Southridge." #84 is the third house on the left. There will be no Open Studios sign.
