Alan Ethridge, Executive Director

Before becoming MAC's Executive Director in January 2006, Alan had been Director of Marketing & Development since January, 2004. He was previously Director of Donor Research in the Office for Development at Clemson University since December, 1991. Prior to returning to Greenville in 1989, he had worked for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in Atlanta and Henderson Advertising in Greenville. Alan is a 1982 graduate of Vanderbilt University where he received a B.A. in English Literature and Fine Arts. He enjoys reading and gardening.

Kim Sholly, Projects Director

Kim started at MAC as a volunteer in September 2002, shortly after moving to Greenville from Madison, Wisconsin. She started as a full-time staff member in January 2003. A fine art photographer, in Madison she co-founded the non-profit Center for Photography at Madison and worked as docent and lecturer at the Museum for Contemporary Art. In Greenville, other than her work at MAC, she is co-founder and director of the WestEnd Darkroom Photo School, located around the corner from MAC on South Main Street.

Heather Magruder, Director of Arts Education

Heather began working with MAC in the SmartARTS program as a teaching artist in 2003. Since 2005, she has led the Greenville County Arts Integration Training Institute. Beginning in 2006, Heather worked in the MAC office as an Arts Integration Specialist in 2006. In addition to working with SmartARTS, Heather is on the teaching artist roster for both the South Carolina Arts Commission and SouthARTS. She has offered residencies and teacher workshops across the state for the past ten years. Heather is also on the faculty of The Writing Room, where she offers workshops in creative writing. Her fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction are published in a variety of anthologies. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte.
